Our Community is important to us at Neal’s Yard Bakery and being involved in local activities is one of the major benefits of moving the business out of central London.

Swan Island
At present there is no retail outlet on site, but the aim is to develop a sort of farm shop, possibly stocking items from the other Neal’s Yard companies. There is also potential for educational displays, demonstrations, hands-on bread making courses and merchandise sales. Even without a current retail site, customers can and do, phone in advance to place orders that can be picked up from Swan Island.

Local schools
At present we do organic stalls on Thursdays at two local schools, St Catherines and The Mall, with 25% of takings going to the schools. We are keen to expand this to other schools. If representatives from Parents Associations or the schools themselves are interested, please contact us. We can also provide organic goods to schools for lunches etc.

Farmers’ markets
We have a stall at Richmond Farmers Market at the moment on Saturday from 11.00 to 3.00. Obviously we would like to do our local market at Twickenham but the powers that be won't let us at the moment. We will keep you posted about further developments.

Local deliveries
These can be arranged in Teddington and Twickenham for suitable orders.
