It is arguably the most important part of many national diets, providing us in this country with more protein, vitamin B and iron, than any other basic food. Wherever one travels in the world, there will be loaves distinct to that region or country, made to local recipes, from local ingredients and baked in an infinite variety of shapes, sizes and colours. Many of these breads are becoming increasingly popular with UK consumers and we have responded by producing organic versions of baguettes, ciabatta, focacia and pitta, all of which are produced to our usual high standards and using the finest ingredients.
